Michael S. Frangello, 91, Of Little Ferry

LITTLE FERRY, N.J. — Michael S. Frangello, of Little Ferry, died Sunday, Nov. 27. He was 91.

He was born June 10, 1925. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a life member of American ex-prisoners of War.

He worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service in Manhattan and ran the New York Marathon at age 65. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred M. (nee Parziale).

He is survived by his children, Frank M., MaryAnn Schwedhelm and her husband Raymond and Elaine Cochran; grandchildren, James, John, Traci and Jill; and great-grandson, Owen. 

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave., Maywood. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. Visiting is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
